The Marigold Foundation

Set up in February 2014 as a voluntary and non-profit making organisation, The Marigold Foundation seeks to act as a platform accessible to all NGOs operating across Malta and Gozo. Its main goal is to provide them with a stronger voice, empowering them to reach further their aim, whilst supporting them to ensure greater visibility and awareness within the general public about their visions and goals.

The Foundation operates on both a macro and micro level, seeking to act as a link bridging the gap between the different NGOs and their communities whilst maximizing use of resources so as to ensure they are used to full capacity. The Foundation sets up NGOs assists them to raise much needed funds through fundraising events and other activities, in a bid to help them achieve their full potential, thereby enabling them to grow their horizons. It has also given its muscle power to nation-wide campaigns like Pink October - Movember and that for Rare Diseases Awareness, that seek to raise awareness about important health issues that nobody addresses.

The Foundation works at grass-root level within various sectors of the community – such as schools, youth groups as well as work places to address issues related to social behaviour, health issues, challenging abilities as well as education. The Foundation natural evolution of its philanthropic efforts in the community.

The Marigold Foundation is chaired by Ms Michelle Muscat. The other Board members are Frances Mifsud (Treasurer), Mariella Agius (Executive Secretary), John Magro, Ivan Grech, Luke Dalli and Mark Farrugia.
