Today is World Down Syndrome Day and at Marigold we collaborated with The Gneral Workers Union to mark the day and reinforce our commitment to support and ensure this community reaches its full potential. World Down Syndrome Day is celebrated on March 21st each year. The date, 3/21, was chosen because it represents the unique triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome, which causes Down Syndrome. This day aims to raise awareness and promote understanding of Down Syndrome, as well as to celebrate the achievements and contributions of people with Down Syndrome around the world.
